Meet Cheryl!


A Malaysian pianist, Cheryl Chin has garnered acclaim for her remarkable musical maturity and profound expression of her musical ideas. She began to learn piano at the age of 5, music for her has always been one of the primary languages to express joy and love to people. With over 3 years of teaching, she primarily teaches young kids of all ages below 12 in an after-school program. She enjoys working with kids and she aims to foster their lifelong love for music and children's songs.

In her teaching philosophy, she asserts expressive musical concepts from singing, body movement, and innovative music games that she created to enhance students’ understanding of music theory.

Apart from teaching, she loves collaborating with instrumentalists in chamber music settings and school musical productions. She is currently delving into the world of jazz as a hobby, driven by her profound love for this dynamic and emotive genre. In recent months, she graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Piano Performance at the Manhattan School of Music under the tutelage of Inesa Sinkevych.
