Meet Alyssa!

Soprano Alyssa DeLessio, just completed her Bachelor of Arts in General Music and her Bachelor of Science in Classical Vocal Performance and Music Therapy Studies at SUNY New Paltz, where she was the recipient of the Lenore Schwartz Neumaier Memorial Scholarship, Professor Mary Jane Corry Scholarship for Excellence in Writing, Linda A. and Thomas P. Stokes Memorial Scholarship, and the Mary Boyle Music Therapy Scholarship. She plans to continue her schooling in pursuit of her Master Degree in Music Therapy.
Alyssa has been singing and playing the Alto Saxophone from a very young age. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages, ranging from children to elderly adults. She has worked privately with children for three years, and has worked with the elderly for three years as well. Alyssa is passionate in her music therapy studies, and has a strong drive to integrate elements of music therapy into all aspects of her life. Additionally, Alyssa is a classically trained soprano who has been singing since a young age. She has been a student of Professor Kent Smith of SUNY New Paltz for the four years of her undergraduate degree, and has had roles in musicals such as The Addams Family, Mary Poppins, Fiddler on the Roof, and Into the Woods. Additionally, she has performed in an international production of Dido and Aeneas in Thessaloniki Greece during the Summer of 2022.
As a member of the Aurora Music Academy faculty, Alyssa hopes to use her skills to motivate and inspire the talented students enrolled at AMA. She desires to integrate her knowledge of music therapy into her role at Aurora Music Academy, and is excited to share her love and passion towards music with the AMA community.
